Watermelon Orange Juice Recipe
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 heaping cup of watermelon, chopped into chunks
- 1 orange
Now one tip before I go on about how to make this the most refreshing and cooling drink…Your watermelon should already be in the fridge but I also put the orange in the fridge so that when I juiced them both, I got a cool juice and not one that was room temperature. This is such a small tip but makes such a big difference when you are hot and sweaty and need something to cool you down.
To start, cut your watermelon into chunks. Then measure out one heaping cup of your watermelon chunks and put them into your juicer.
Then you have two options for the orange. I’ve found two ways that work well to get the rind off, which you can’t juice. If the orange is ripe, then I peel like, like you would if you were to eat it. If the orange isn’t ripe enough that it’s easy to get the rind off, then I suggest cutting the rind off like you would with a grapefruit.
I found these two techniques work well considering how ripe your oranges are. Once your orange is peeled, simply cut the orange in half and place both pieces into your juicer.
Once you’ve juiced your watermelon and the orange, you will be left with one cup of this delicious, refreshing juice.
